Highlights from London Design Week 2025
London Design Week 2025 transformed the Design Centre Chelsea Harbour into a vibrant showcase for international design, akin to a fashion week for the interior design community. Hundreds of brands participated, bringing with them a wealth of colour and creativity. Throughout the week, attendees could engage in over 100 talks, workshops, and events celebrating the latest trends and innovations in design.
Kit Kemp X Christopher Farr
Among the standout installations was an immersive pop-up by the luxury fabric house Christopher Farr Cloth, collaborated on with photographer Simon Brown. Dubbed ‘Studio on Wheels,’ this Victorian-themed exhibit was filled with bright colours and showcased the latest fabric collection co-created with designer Kit Kemp. Visitors to the pop-up could explore new patterns and even try on unique hats and kimonos crafted from these fabrics. Kip Kemp expressed her enthusiasm, noting how the studio’s concept fit perfectly with their shared love for vintage aesthetics.
Bertioli by Thyme
Bertioli, a nature-focused brand, introduced a playful ‘Bertioli Bird Hide’ display featuring botanical designs across home goods. Attendees were able to view cushions, wallpaper, lampshades, and more, all inspired by the natural environments of woodlands and gardens. The brand promised a connection to nature in every piece, making it a highlight for nature enthusiasts.
Naturalmat
Naturalmat featured a pop-up that focused on sustainable living, inviting guests to learn about the raw materials behind their handcrafted mattresses. Sourcing organic wool directly from Devon farmers, the brand placed emphasis on sustainability and quality craftsmanship, highlighting their commitment to eco-friendly practices.
Sophie Paterson X Andrew Martin
The collaboration between Andrew Martin and designer Sophie Paterson was on full display with their Capri collection. This new line includes fabric designs suitable for indoor and outdoor spaces, embodying the elegance and vibrancy of the Italian Riviera through a palette of sunset hues and rich greens.
GP&J Baker
Renowned for their elaborate textiles, GP&J Baker took the opportunity to unveil their Royal Court collection, created in partnership with Historic Royal Palaces. This new series of wallpaper designs draws inspiration from the grandeur of six historic palaces, showcasing timeless elegance and intricate patterns.
Nina Campbell X Osborne & Little
Designer Nina Campbell teased her fresh Farnaz collection during Design Week, which is set to launch in April in cooperation with Osborne & Little. Attendees were treated to an exhibition of floral patterns, soft pastels, and vibrant trimmings, along with insights from Campbell during two engaging talks she held at the event.
Sanderson
Sanderson presented their updated showroom to feature classic designs alongside new releases, including the Orwell Weaves collection. They also put the spotlight on the Country Woodland wallpaper range, which captures the essence of the English countryside with its charming motifs of nature intertwined with traditional designs.
Gingerlily
Gingerlily’s showcase was all about the luxury of silk. They displayed their signature silk bedding and nightwear, along with the new Gingerlily X Memo Press collaboration. This partnership features bespoke silk bedding and robes, combining elegant design with sumptuous materials.
David Hunt Lighting
David Hunt Lighting introduced their latest offering, the Lemon Drop colourway, designed to evoke warmth and nostalgia. Each piece is handmade in their Cotswold workshops, adding a personal touch to their exquisite lighting designs, ideal for bringing joy and colour to any home.
Elizabeth Ashdown
Elizabeth Ashdown unveiled her new collection in collaboration with Samuel and Sons, showcasing her expertise in passamenterie—the art of making decorative trimmings. Featuring a colourful palette and geometric patterns, her vibrant cords, borders, and fringes offer a playful twist on traditional interior design accents.
Heathfield & Co X Pollyanna Wilkinson
Lastly, Heathfield & Co showcased their SS25 Selene Collection, developed in partnership with acclaimed garden designer Pollyanna Wilkinson. This collection features stylish, portable lighting options made for both indoor and outdoor settings, epitomizing the blend of functionality and elegance in modern design.
London Design Week 2025 proved to be a captivating event flush with creativity, innovation, and stunning visual displays, attracting design lovers from around the world.
